MR spectroscopy (MRS) in patient 3 performed 4 weeks (A) and 11 weeks (B) after HSCT within the anterior cingulate gyrus (ACG) region. The metabolite ratios within the normal-appearing grey matter of ACG were initially normal: NAA/Cr=1.81; Cho/Cr=0.79; mI/Cr=0.56 (A). Despite the normal appearance of the grey matter of ACG, the follow-up examination revealed the reduction of NAA/Cr ratio (NAA/Cr=1.45), as well as the increase of Cho/Cr and mI/Cr ratios (Cho/Cr=1.24 and mI/Cr=0.90, respectively) (B).
