Effect of timing of start of interventions on dengue epidemic outbreaks. Stochastic dengue epidemics were generated according to the epidemiology of dengue (Table 1, basic reproduction number, ℛ0 = 24), the population size of Easter Island, control interventions with 80% intensity and varying the start of interventions from 10 to 60 days after epidemic onset.
