The thermal unfolding of 0.1 mg/mL of WT and deamidated TIMs was monitored by recording the change in the CD signal at 222 nm in response to heating. The temperature was increased from 20 to 90°C at 1°C/2.5 min. The fraction of unfolded protein and the Tm values (inset) were calculated as previously described (24). Experiments were performed in duplicate; standard errors were less than 5%.
