Live ASCs during extended cell growth relative to cryopreservation duration. ASCs from each patient were plated to a density of 1 × 105 cells/well and counted after (a) 9, (b) 18, and (c) 28 days to characterize the effect of cryopreservation duration on continued ASC growth. We observed sustained ASC growth irrespective of cryopreservation duration. Cell counts were compared relative to cryopreservation duration in 3 cohort groups: <1 year (N = 10), 1-2 years (N = 5), and >2 years (N = 17), and were not found to be significantly different.
