Cytotoxicity by virus-specific CD8+ T cells is decreased during latency in 4-1BBL-deficient mice. Cytotoxicity by virus-specific CD8+ T cells was measured 138 days postinfection by an in vivo CTL assay as described in Materials and Methods.
