Figure 9

Sch B modulates the phosphorylation of PI3K, Akt, and mTOR, and the expression of AMPK, PTEN, PI3K class III, beclin 1, LC3-I, and LC3-II in mouse AML-12 and RAW 264.7 cells.

Notes: Cells were treated with Sch B at 0.1, 1, 10, and 25 μM for 24 hours and the protein samples were subject to Western blotting assay. Representative blots of p-PI3K, PI3K, p-Akt, Akt, p-mTOR, mTOR, AMPK, PTEN, PI3K class III, beclin 1, LC3-I, and LC3-II in mouse AML-12 and RAW 264.7. β-Actin was used as the internal control.

Abbreviations: Sch B, schisandrin B; p, phosphorylated; PI3K, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase; AMPK, 5′-adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase; Akt, protein kinase B; mTOR, mammalian target of rapamycin; PTEN, phosphatase and tensin homolog; LC3-1, cytosolic microtubule-associated protein 1A/1B-light chain 3; LC3-II, LC3-phosphatidylethanolamine conjugate (membrane-bound).
