MS/MS spectrum of the oligomer DP 4(1,1). This oligomer corresponds to a tetramer with m/z = 801.15 carrying one methyl group and one acetyl group. The spectrum shows the coexistence of two different structures, in which the methyl and acetyl groups are on different galacturonosyl residues. The nomenclature of fragment ions proposed by Domon and Costello (1988) was used.
