The 30 June 2004 snapshot of the Lagrangian model run of larval transport [35] shows the occurrence of an anti-cyclonic branch (thick arrowed line) that separates from the main coastal pathway and delivers larvae toward Lampedusa Island. The simulated spawning area is off Sciacca and colours represent different larvae age ranges.
