Prevention of cytokine-induced cell death in RINm5F cells. Cells were pretreated with the indicated concentrations of kazinol C (a) or isokazinol D (b) for 3 h, and then IL-1β (1 U ml⁻¹) and IFN-γ (100 U ml⁻¹) were added and cells were incubated for an additional 48 h. Cell viability was determined using the MTT assay.
