Circulating tumor detection on a μHall chip. (a) The μHall chip was used to detect CTCs in blood samples from patients with late stage ovarian cancer. Samples were magnetically labeled using four known cancer biomarkers: EpCAM, HER2/neu, EGFR, and MUC1. (b) Patient samples (n = 20) were split into two and profiled using both the μHall chip (top) and CellSearch (bottom). (c) Additionally, n = 15 healthy controls were screened by the μHD. The mean values of cell counts are shown as a dashed line. (d) A receiver operating curve (ROC) for the μHD was generated from the data in (c)
