DV-induced Gal-9 expression was p38-dependent. Human DCs were pre-treated with a p38 inhibitor (SB203580), ERK inhibitor (PD98059) or JNK inhibitor (SP600125) for 2 hrs at various concentrations and then infected by mock or DV (NGC strain) for 48 hrs. Total cell lysates were collected, and expression of Gal-9 and β-actin was determined by Western blotting (A–C). The data show representative results and analysis pooled from at least three independent experiments examining different donor DCs.
