Factor of change in pO₂ (ΔpO₂) and initial pO₂ For each participant, the ΔpO₂ was calculated as the pO₂ value at each time-point relative to the baseline pO₂ value measured before the start of the ozone therapy. A non-linear correlation was found between baseline pO₂ and ΔpO₂ at each measurement time-point. The figure shows an inverse correlation (rho = −0.798) after session #3 of ozone therapy, which indicates that the highest therapy-associated changes in tumor pO₂ occurred in tumors with the poorest baseline oxygenation. A ΔpO₂ value <1 signifies decrease in oxygenation and ΔpO₂ >1 signifies an increase in tumor oxygenation after session #3.
