As shown previously (Ablooglu et al., 2010), GFP-positive DFCs at the leading edge frequently generate filopodium (arrow) and lamellipodium (bracket) (right panels). These findings suggest that, in addition to the passive migration through the formation of DFC-EVL tight junction, DFCs have a potential to migrate toward the vegetal pole.
