PT-HRSD = pre-treatment depression stability; SET = supportive-expressive therapy; MED = antidepressant medication; PBO = placebo; S.E. = Standard Error. Responders = percentage of patients who were considered responders at the end of treatment (i.e., HRSD score ≤9 or 50% HRSD score reduction and a HRSD score≤12); Remitters = percentage of patients who were considered remitters at the end of treatment (i.e., no longer meeting criteria for MDD and HRSD score <8).
