ATP release activity of GrpE in the single-turnover ATPase assay. DnaK-[³²P]ATP complexes were incubated with 250 μm unlabeled ATP (purple diamonds) or 3 and 6 μm GrpE together with 250 μm unlabeled ATP (green triangles and blue upside-down triangles). Samples were taken at the indicated times, and the fraction of ATP converted to ADP was calculated after quantification.
