IL-1ra significantly attenuated enhanced locomotor activity (total distance traveled) upon METH challenge in P70 rats following neonatal LPS exposure. The results are expressed as the mean ± SEM of six animals in each group and analyzed by two-way ANOVA. * p < 0.05 represents significant difference between the increment in METH-increased locomotor activity within the LPS group (∆_{(LPS+METH – LPS+Saline)}) as compared to that within the saline group (∆_{(Saline+METH − Saline+Saline)}). # p < 0.05 represents significant difference between the increment in METH-increased locomotor activity within the LPS+IL-1ra group (∆_{(LPS-IL-1ra+METH − LPS-IL-1ra+Saline)}) as compared to that within the LPS group (∆_{(LPS+METH − LPS+Saline)}).
