Effect of 2 mM dl-propargylglycine (PPG) on total unbound homocysteine levels in hepatocytes and in the culture medium for preparations of hepatocytes from Cdo1 ^+/+ and Cdo1 ^−/− mice that were cultured in basal [0.7 mM cyst(e)ine] medium or basal medium supplemented with 0.2 mM l-homocysteine (Hcy) or with 0.5 mM l-methionine (Met) for either 24 or 48 h. Results are the mean ± SEM from three independent experiments. Statistical analysis was done using a standard least squares model followed by Tukey’s mean comparison procedure; significance was accepted at p < 0.05.
