All triatomines were collected in Russas - Ceará, Brazil. The taxonomical position of all triatomines was confirmed with the mitochondrial COI gene marker. The DGGE profile was identified using the 16S rRNA gene fragments (V6-V8). ♀ or ♂ stand for female or male adults (Ad), respectively. N3, N4 and N5 stand for nymph at 3rd, 4th and 5th stage, respectively. P and N stand for positive and negative PCR amplification while ND stand for undetermined.
