Immunohistochemical staining for ALDH1A3 is significantly higher (p<0.0001) in tumor samples (right) than in normal controls (left). Staining between different tumor grades (Gleason score lower than 7, equal to or higher than 7) was compared finding a direct correlation between Gleason score and ALDH1A3 expression (p = 0.05). Immunohistochemical staining is shown for ALDH1A3 (right column) in each sample together with the hematoxylin & eosin-stained tissue (left column).
