Test statistics for squared Mahalanobis distances among different studied species in the discriminant functional analysis with C, N, P, K, S, Ca and Mg concentrations and N:P, N:K and P:K concentration ratios of leaves, branches and stems, and the foliar:wood content ratio of the seven elements studied as variables and the 1004 plots dominated by the 15 most representative forest tree species of Catalonia. All distances are significantly higher than cero based on F test (P < 0.001).
