Condition B: 1a (0.1 mmol), PhI(OAc)2 (1.5 equiv.), I2 (1.5 equiv.), DCE, r.t., air, 48 h. bIsolated yield. cFor substrate 1a, isolated yield of 2a is 92% (condition A) and 89% (condition B); for substrate 1b, isolated yield of 2b is 62% (condition A). dProduct structure is confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis.
