Magnetic torque balance for the measurement of anisotropic susceptibility. The mechanical torque exerted by a string on a sample suspended from it is changed in a stepwise fashion by turning the rotator wheel. The resulting dynamic reorientation of the sample in the magnetic field B is observed and recorded with a video camera place below the sample.
