The visual stimuli used in the continuous flash suppression (CFS) experiment. A: high-contrast flashing Mondrian masks were presented to the dominant eye. The probe was a rotating checkerboard wedge presented to the nondominant eye. The visual awareness of the wedge fluctuated due to CFS. Subjects reported the visibility of the wedge continuously.
