Cpx pathway regulates expression of major virulence factor regulators. Luminescence activity of V. cholerae El Tor C6706 carrying the overexpression plasmid pCpxR and transformed with either the vector control (pJW15) or toxT-lux (A) and tcpP-lux (B) reporters. Reporter gene expression was measured as described in Materials and Methods and is reported as CPS corrected for cell density (OD600). The overall averages and standard deviations resulting from two separate experiments performed in triplicate are shown.
