Intrasplenic and intrapancreatic adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cell administrations do not change the frequency of regulatory T cells in the spleen and pancreatic lymph nodes of diabetic mice 70 days after cell transplantation. Frequency of regulatory CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ T (Treg) cells was analyzed by flow cytometry in cell suspensions obtained from the (A, C) spleen and (B, D) pancreatic lymph nodes (PLN) from adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cell (ADMSC)-treated and phosphate-buffered saline (PBS)-treated mice. Cells were stained for surface markers CD4 and CD25 and subsequently for the transcription factor Foxp3. Bars represent average ± standard error of the mean.
