Experiments were performed with 8 (0.2 mmol), p-iodotoluene (0.6 mmol), Pd(OAc)₂ (0.02 mmol), Ag₂CO₃ (0.4 mmol), sodium trifluoroacetate (0.1 mmol), ligand (0.04 mmol) in t-BuOH (1 mL) for 18 hours at 80 ºC under air.

Isolated yields reported are combined yields of diastereomers. Relative stereoconfiguration is reported.
