Genome-specific primers were employed to detect relative transcript levels of 10 S5a and S5b bHLH genes in various tissues of upland cotton. Both cotton histone3 (AF024716) [42] and GhUBQ14 [43] genes were amplified and set as references. Error bars indicate SEM of three technical replicates.
