There was no difference in corpulence (percent lipid): (Lipid (mg)/Body Mass (mg)) between bumble bee worker nurses (n = 14), foragers (n = 77), or mixed (n = 104) (χ2 = 0.20, df = 2, p = 0.90). Additionally, there was no interaction effect of worker task and body size, as measured by dry mass, on percent lipid (χ2 = 1.23, df = 2, p = 0.54).
