(A) The same pulse-chases as in Figure 4, but carried out in a yme1Δ background. (B) Quantification of results shown in (A) plotted as a percentage of the 0-min time point. Error bars represent S.E.M., n=3. Student's ttests showed deletion of YME1 recovered the level of Tim9C1,4S so that it was significantly greater than Tim9C2,3S (P<0.01), whereas still significantly less than Tim9 WT (P<0.01). The levels of Tim10 in all three strains in the yme1Δ background, showed no significant difference between each other (P>0.3).
