Strains with the indicated mutations were induced for meiosis in the absence of an ATP analog. At the indicated times, cells were fixed, stained with DAPI, and examined by fluorescence microscopy for foci of the indicated GFP fusion protein (green) and DNA (blue). Representative cells with Rec27-GFP are shown, and quantification is given in the table below. Data for the hhp1-as hhp2Δ mutant were taken 1 hr later than for hhp ⁺ because replication is delayed by about 1 hr in the hhp1-as hhp2Δ mutant (S8 Fig). See also S6 Fig.
