Comparison of pathogenicity of R-DK/49, R-GS/65 and their derived mutants at the residues of 224 and 383 of PA protein in mice. Six-week-old female BALB/c mice (n = 5/group) were intranasally inoculated with 50 μl of the recombinant avian H5N1 viruses created by reverse genetics and monitored for 14 days for mortality.
