1

A chi-square test of the association between 25(OH)D and case status produced a P value of 0.03. The crude model was calculated by using conditional logistic regression and conditioned on matched variables (age, race-ethnicity, sex, and date of blood draw based on 2-mo blocks). The multivariable model was calculated by using conditional logistic regression, conditioned on matched variables (age, race-ethnicity, sex, and date of blood draw based on 2-mo blocks) and adjusted for smoking status (never; former, ≥15 y; former, <15 y; current) and self-reported diabetes (yes or no). *Significant. 25(OH)D, 25-hydroxyvitamin D.

Significant at the Bonferroni-corrected P value, 0.05/2 = 0.025.
