Levels of viral RNA in brains of infected guinea pigs. Total RNA was extracted from brain tissues of rJUNV-infected guinea pigs euthanized at 12 days p.i. Quantitative RT-PCR using SYBR green dye was performed in triplicate. Levels of RNA derived from the NP locus were normalized to GAPDH mRNA levels and expressed as ratios relative to the NP RNA level in rRomL/CanS brain tissue sample. Average values and standard deviations are shown.
