Modulation of the CD4 and CD8 T cell response following rILL346 infection. T cell recruitment to the lungs of infected mice was determined following infection with rILL346, rILL18, huH1N1, and swH1N2 at day 10 p.i. BALB/c mice were intranasally infected with 5 × 10⁵ PFU of virus. BAL fluid was collected at day 10 p.i., and the percentages of activated CD4⁺ (CD3⁺ CD4⁺ CD44⁺ CCD69⁺) and CD8⁺ (CD3⁺ CD8⁺ CD44⁺ CD69⁺) T cells from the total CD4⁺ (CD3⁺ CD4⁺) and CD8⁺ (CD3⁺ CD8⁺) populations were determined. All data are representative of three individual experiments.
