(b) Naming event accuracy as a function of previous guess accuracy. In the third-person view, participants' guess accuracy improved only after correct guesses. However, in the first-person view, guess accuracy improved after incorrect guesses as well, suggesting accrual of information about multiple potential word–referent mappings.
