Immunostaining and cell count summary for GABA interneurons in Thy1- and VGAT-ChR2-YFP hippocampal sections.

(A) Thy1-ChR2-YFP mouse (P14), panoramic view of CA1 showing two cells in the pyramidal cell layer co-expressing YFP and GAD-65/67 markers, which indicates that are GABA cells positive for ChR2. Note that some cells off the pyramidal cell layer only express GAD-65/67. Scale Bar 50 μm.
