Agonist (baclofen) or PAM (CGP7930) activates the GABA_B receptor, leading to G_i/o protein/PLCβ/FAK activation, which in turn transactivates the IGF-1R signaling pathway and induces PKC-mediated CREB phosphorylation, thereby upregulating Fmrp expression both at the mRNA and protein levels.
