Evaluation of protective effects against CORT-induced depression-like behavior. Mice were treated orally once a day with vehicle or compound A, B, or C (0.3 or 1.5 mg/kg body weight) for 21 days while being treated daily with vehicle or CORT (see protocol A in Fig.2). Then, the time immobilized was measured by performing the TST. The significance of the difference between the value of the CORT-treated group and that of the vehicle-treated group was determined by one-way ANOVA with Tukey's post hoc test, as **< 0.01 (n = 6/group). Among the CORT-treated groups, significant differences from the value of the vehicle-treated group were also determined by performing one-way ANOVA with Tukey's test, as #< 0.05 (n = 6/group).
