Recombinant Toxascaris leonine galectin (rTl-gal) treatment up-regulated the population of CD45R/B220-positive B cells in the periphery. (a) Splenic mononuclear cells at chronic stage (60–62 dpi) from mice treated with either vehicle or rTl-gal were analysed by flow cytometry for CD3⁺CD4⁺ T cells, CD3⁺CD8⁺ T cells, CD45⁺CD45R/B220⁺ B cells, CD45⁺CD11b⁺ macrophages and CD45⁺CD11c⁺ dendritic cells, respectively.
