Slowed activation speed of the probe can also widen the I-X curve (Experiment). (A) In a single cell using a normal probe, the filtering of the stimulating step response was changed to 15, 1, and 200 Hz. Families of step responses were done at each filter setting keeping the position of the probe the same.
