Figure 1

Increased cytotoxicity by NK cells derived from Cox-2flox/flox;LysMCre/+mice compared to those obtained from control WT littermates. Purified NK cells obtained from either control (WT) or Cox-2flox/flox;LysMCre/+ (KO) mice were left untreated or treated with IL-2 (1 × 104 U/million) for 7 days before they were used against YAC-1 cells (A), Mouse Embryonic Fibroblasts (B), and ST63 (C) in a standard 4 h 51Chromium release assay. The lytic units 30/106 cells were determined using inverse number of NK cells required to lyse 30% of the target cells × 100. *P < 0.05 was obtained for the difference between control WT Cox-2flox/flox;LysMCre/+ NK cell cytotoxicity against YAC-1 cells, MEFs, or ST63. One of several representative experiments is shown in this figure.
