Paraffin-embedded sections from the midbrain of HIV positive (no HAD) and HAD subjects (National NeuroAIDS Tissue Consortium) were immunostained with an antibody against gp120 (AIDS Research and Reference Reagent program, NIAID, NIH, Bethesda, MD).
