Steady-state cell surface display of CD8-CTM chimeric proteins by transiently transfected cells. Cells transfected 24 or 48 h earlier were stained with PE-conjugated anti-CD8 antibody and analyzed for surface and whole-cell CD8 as described in the legend to Fig. 4. Cells positive for CD8 on the surface are presented as a percentage of cells that contained the corresponding chimeric protein.
