PTEN expression in CAL62 and BCPAP cells transfected with antagomiRs 221/222 and then treated or not with HMGB1. Effect of antagomiRs 221 and 222 on PTEN expression. CAL62 and BCPAP cells were transfected with antagomiRs 221 and 222 (transfectants). 24 h after transfection, cells were cultured for 24, 48, and 72 h with or without the addition of 10 nM HMGB1. At the end of incubation times, the cell lysates were harvested and subjected to western blot analysis for PTEN protein expression. p < 0.01 versus parental cells and transfectants; p < 0.01 versus parental cells and transfectants with HMGB1; transfectants versus transfectants with HMGB1 were not statistically significative.
