(a,b) We dissociated resected PDAC specimens from 19 patients and analyzed the tumor cells with CSC marker CD133 (a) and aldefluor (b) by flow cytometry, shown by representative flow charts. (c,d) We analyzed the miR-21 (c) and FoxO1 (d) transcript levels in CD133-high (solid rectangle in a) vs CD133-low (dotted rectangle in b) populations, and in aldefluor-high (solid rectangle in b) vs aldefluor-low (dotted rectangle in b) populations. *p < 0.05. n = 19.
