Western blot with antibodies for caspase proteins involved in apoptosis. MDA-MB-231 cells, grown in 6-well plates, were treated with FC101 (0–1 μM) for 24 h, followed by western blotting with antibodies to cleaved caspase-3, cleaved caspase 8, and cleaved PARP. Upregulation of CC8, CC3, and cleaved PARP indicate caspase activation and apoptosis upregulation in a concentration-dependent manner. β-Tubulin was used as house keeping protein
