Respiratory measurements of purified peritoneal macrophages from mice were conducted as described in Material and Methods. The following four respiratory parameters were utilized to analyze bioenergetic function and calculated as follows: Basal respiration (OCRbaseline – OCRrotenone), ATP turnover(OCRoligomycin − OCRbaseline), Proton leak (OCRrotenone − OCRoligomycin), and Maximal respiratory capacity (OCRFCCP − OCRrotenone).
