Fig 1 — We assayed fecundity 0 and 24 hours post cold shock. Open bars represent FCB and black bars represent FSB populations. At 0 hours after cold shock, fecundity of females subjected to cold shock (Both-shocked and Female-shocked treatments) was high compared to that of females not subjected to cold shock (Neither-shocked treatment). However, there was no such difference 24 hours after cold shock. None of the differences between FCB and FSB populations were significant.
