Ultrastructure of KLF-transfected cells. OSC19 cells transfected with KLF4 cDNA (D, E), KLF5 cDNA (F, G) or vector alone (A-C) were observed by transmission electron microscope. KLF4-trasfected cells developed desmosomes (open arrowheads), and KLF5-transfected cells had no apparent cell-cell adhesion structures (closed arrowheads).
