Biologic DMARD at treatment initiation followed by the option to start a non-biologic DMARD at 3 months or thereafter based on clinical assessment. DMARD= non-biologic DMARD; biologic= biologic DMARD; IAS= intraarticular glucocorticoid injection. DMARD choices include methotrexate, leflunomide, and sulfasalazine.
